However, this might change.  Especially in larger legal training and educational organizations the legal content expert will become indispensable for handling vital logistical issues succesfully. This is caused by an unavoidable development in legal training. But first, what is educational logistics?

What is logistics?

Educational logistics concern the processes, systems and information streams enabling the smooth training and education within a training/educational organization.

For example: If you want your learning material to become available for each learner on the appropirate moment for this learner, you are dealing with a logistical problem.

Why will legal learning become more flexible?

Why talk about logistics? Because it is related to the simply-cannot-escape-it trend that legal training and education are undergoing. Legal learning and training will become much more flexible in various ways.

  • start their training/education with varying levels/kinds of expertise
  • cannot or do not want to start training/education at the same time
  • have varying amounts of time available for training/education
  • proceed their training and education at varying speeds
  • possess different learning styles
  • have different interest in the topic of the training/education

Flexible legal learning: more succesful learning

Such increased  flexibility will become visible in all forms of legal learning: brief legal training, part-time education and full-time education.

However for these three outcomes to happen smoothly and successfully logistics for flexible legal learning will need to strengthen and the legal lecturers will have a vital role in this area.
